September 14, 2008 second week of school

Catching up on our latest endeavors...
Basic outline:
We've decided to combine the videos into one and have made a group decision to make the presentation interactive. Our plan is to start out with the formation of a star. Then, have the viewer choose what kind of star they want to be. With this we will provide information about the types of stars and their outcomes. Next, the viewer will become a photon/gamma ray/heat and able to choose where they want to go i.e. a galaxy, meteor, or other astronomical object.
The photon will then be direct towards earth due to forces of gravity acting on it. Once approaching earth, viewers will be able to determine what kind of detector they want the photon to enter. Whether it be a CCD, infared, or any other filtered detector. Here we will show an image from that kind of detector and explain how it works. Also, we will explain the importance of detectors and why people should care about them.
From here on out we need to finalize our ideas and actually start on making the presentation!! We'll try to keep more up to date with our progress.
